Originz

Originz is a gift shop located on the waterfront of Roy’s Bay in Wanaka that is passionate about sourcing and showcasing beautifully crafted products made by clever craftspeople right here in New Zealand. After a change of ownership, the new owners approached White Light to refresh their brand identity to reflect the shop’s focus on NZ-sourced, sustainable products.

The new logo incorporates a handdrawn illustration of a fantail – a well-known NZ-native bird notorious for its friendly ‘cheet-cheet’ and energetic flying antics – which serves to reflect the always cheerful, vibrant service customers are greeted with in the shop. This, coupled with a calming, natural colour palette and imagery reflective of native NZ’s fauna and flora, successfully communicates the value the shop places on locally-made, sustainable products.
